Free Mobility Equipment Winter Check at Ableworld

Ableworld are committed to keeping our customers safe on their mobility equipment. So this Autumn we are taking extra steps to make sure as many people as possible are ready for the change in weather by offering FREE Winter Safety checks in store for all Scooters, Wheelchairs and Powerchairs.

Our team in store can have a look over your equipment to ensure you are Winter ready by ensuring your tyres and tyre pressures are correct and check your seat to ensure it is stable and in good condition. For Scooters and powerchairs they will be able to check the batteries to ensure they are still performing well, as well as the speed buttons, stopping distance and the controls by doing a short test drive. For wheelchairs we will ensure everything is in order including the brakes, wheels, castors and armrests. 

We will then provide you with a copy of the checklist and advise if we think your equipment needs any repairs or would benefit from a full service. Ableworld have a friendly team of fully trained engineers that can carry out the work for you but this is optional and entirely up to you.

We are also offering Free Ferrule checks in store. These are the rubber caps on the end of your walking sticks, crutches or walking frames which can easily suffer wear and tear if used on a daily basis. We can check them for you and advise if we think they need changing.

We hope that this ensures more people are safe this autumn when making journeys using mobility aids.
