Title:           Retail Store Manager

Type:          Permanent, Full-Time

Salary:        £21,000 - £22,500 per annum according to experience (circa £26,500k pa after bonuses)

Hours:        9:00am to 5.30pm (5 days over 6 on a rota basis)

Area:          Shrewsbury, SY1 4BB

As Store Manager we are looking for a well-rounded and commercial retail manager who is proactive in their approach and can work using their own initiative, mobility or care experience desirable however, not essential as full training is provided. The ideal candidate will have previous experience either in management or supervision within a retail outlet.

Purpose:

By working alongside and managing your team daily, you will drive your store to success. This is a very hands-on role, where you will be a team player/manager and your decisions really impact the business. You will be processing stock/deliveries received into the store, therefore, the ability to lift and handle stock/store fixtures is essential.

You will play an important role on the sales floor in serving our customers. Flexibility and dedication are key, as is great communication and team work.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service
  • Managing your team to achieve store targets
  • Customer service/demonstration and sales
  • Operate the till, accept payments by cash, credit and debit card
  • Process relevant paperwork
  • Maintain a clean and orderly environment in store

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in retail is essential
  • Experience in a successful, sales driven business
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 

A full driving licence is essential for this role and a DBS disclosure will be required (for which Ableworld will meet the cost)
