Ableworld's Mission Statement

Our aim at Ableworld is to provide caring solutions for our customers enabling them to enjoy greater independence and more comfortable and active lives.

We do this by providing quality products and services at value for money prices.

Ableworld are the largest mobility and stairlift retailers in the country. We employ professionals who have been in either Mobility (including engineering) or Nursing and Care Home sectors for up to twenty years and continue their training to a high standard, for example. Ableworld is also a company with a retail and buying background, so you can rely on us to supply quality branded products at value for money prices.

Ableworld are members of NAEP which gives you peace of mind from a company you can trust. We are also recommended by the NHS as a Community Equipment Dispenser.

Here at Ableworld our customers are of key importance. We have a dedicated customer service team who offer high quality support and are trained to handle all queries and requests for information.

We are committed to exceptional service and believe that it is the long-term satisfaction of each customer that will help to define our own success.

Home Assessment and Demonstrations

Our free, no obligation demonstrations are designed with you in mind. Our friendly staff are trained to assess your needs and provide the correct products. We do not use 'hard sell' tactics.

We are happy to demonstrate our larger products to customers who are local to the stores. If you are not local then please contact our customer service department to see if we can find a suitable solution for your needs.

We are very proud of our extensive, highly skilled Engineering Department open Monday to Friday (Saturday - Out of Hours Call out Fee). Without a doubt it is one of the best in the UK`s Mobility Industry. Totally "in house", our engineers provide a second to none service. As well as a wide range of popular and standard mobility equipment at value for money prices Ableworld also has a "Specialist Division". This is where clients require `bespoke` or `made to measure` equipment, which requires a high level of technical knowledge and back up. Wheelchair hire

We also hire out wheelchairs. Subject to availability wheelchairs can be hired for any period of time and can be an ideal way to make a decision about a wheelchair before committing to a purchase. This is also the ideal solution when a wheelchair is only required short term such as after an operation.

To hire a wheelchair we require a £40 refundable deposit. The hire rates are as follows:1 day hire = £4.99 (excluding VAT)1 weekend hire = £7.50 (excluding VAT)1 weeks hire = £14.99 (excluding VAT)

This can either be paid in the store or over the phone by Credit/Debit card.

Shop opening hours
