Position:               Stairlift Engineer / Installer

Hours:                   9:00am - 5:00pm (5 days over 6 on a rota basis)

Type:                     Permanent, Full-time

Salary:                  £27,000 per annum rising to £30k/£32k per annum after training, plus company bonus (circa £45,000 per annum)

Areas:                   Covering Reading/Thatcham and surrounding areas

 

Ableworld UK is looking for an additional Stairlift Engineer / Installer based from our store in Reading and Thatcham

It is not essential to have experience with stairlifts as you will be fully trained in the methods and procedures for quoting, installing, testing, upgrading, removing, repairing and maintaining all types of stairlift, straight and curved however, a mechanical or electrical background would be advantageous.

You will be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. This is a hands-on role and you will be processing stock and deliveries received, therefore, the ability to lift and handle heavy items is essential.

 

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Offering a full customer service experience from quote to Install/repair/service and maintain Stairlifts (straight and curved)
  • Visiting customers in their home to provide advice, assess and quotes on our stairlift products
  • Installation of standard and bespoke stairlifts
  • Attending customer call outs for repair and servicing of products
  • Checking deliveries and good maintenance of stock
  • Providing an out-of-hours call out service on a rota basis (for which a generous bonus is given)

  • Computer knowledge would be an advantage and a willingness to learn new technology
  • Experience of working as part of a team and independently
