Finding Products

Products are easy to find at Ableworld. We have split our product ranges into several different departments, all of which can be accessed from the listing on the left hand side of the screen.

To make your product selection as simple as possible, we have further split each department into categories, which can be accessed by clicking on the department.

You can also search for the product you want by putting keywords into the search box located at the top of the page and pressing 'Go'.

How to register

To register you can click on 'My Account' located in the title bar. From this page you can add your details in the supplied boxes and click the "Submit" button.

Using the Shopping Basket.

Using the shopping cart is simple. To add a product to your basket, simply click on the 'Add to Basket' button next to the item you wish to purchase. Once the product is in your basket you can either continue shopping or go to the checkout.

Payment Methods

You can pay for your goods in one of three ways:

1. Online via our automated online payment service using a Credit or Debit card. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Switch, Solo and Delta cards.
2. Over the telephone using a Credit or Debit card.
3. Via mail order with a cheque.

You can select the method by which you want to pay at the checkout.

Customer Registration and VAT Exempt Products.

Some of the products on sale in our store are VAT exempt, but only if the purchaser is suffering from one or more of the disabilities listed on the Customer Registration form.

All customers buying online from Ableworld must first register their details, so that we can take into account VAT exempt prices when calculating total order values. Registration is fast and simple, providing you with an easy and quick method of buying from us in future.

Delivery and returns

Delivery

The delivery charges for all online purchases are as follows:

• Delivery charge nationwide is £4.95 for orders under £50 unless marked otherwise.
• Orders over £50 qualify for FREE delivery.
• Please note that these delivery charges are available for website orders ONLY.

We normally expect your order to be delivered within 5 working days (unless as otherwise stated on the item description). We regret that at present we are unable to deliver on Bank Holidays. Prior to despatch our staff will physically check all goods.

Areas Covered

We are unable to accept orders for delivery outside the UK mainland.

Returns

Ableworld understands that there are times when you will have to or want to return a purchase. We will happily refund or exchange your purchase made on the internet in the following circumstances:

If you decide that the product is not for you: If this is the case then the 'unwanted' product must be returned to Ableworld in its original condition with all packaging and accessories, within 14 days of the purchase. As there would be no fault with the product, then the cost of returning it would be your responsibility.

If the product is damaged or is faulty upon receipt: We will exchange the product as quickly as possible, or issue you with either a refund or a credit note and pay for your postage costs for return.

If the product develops a fault whilst it is still within its warranty period: If this is so, then we allow 28 days for you to return the product to us, in turn we will offer either a replacement or a refund. If the product is too large to return by post then we can arrange to collect it. If it is only a minor fault, we can send an engineer who may be able to fix the problem on site.

Frequently asked questions

How do I buy goods?

To buy goods we recommend that you Login first. To login simply click on 'My Account'. From this page you can add your Email and Password in the supplied boxes and click the "submit" button. Once you are logged in you can select a Department from the list on the left side of the screen. Within the Department you can then choose the Category and from there browse through the products. Once you find your desired product click on Add to Basket, which will add the product to your shopping basket. From there you can either Continue Shopping, remove something from your basket by clicking remove at the 'Checkout', or pay for your goods by clicking on 'Checkout'.

How do I pay for goods?

After reaching the Checkout you must enter your billing address, delivery address and telephone number or simply log in if you are an existing customer. Once you have confirmed that your details are correct you will be taken to the secure server area where you must enter your credit or debit card details. Once fully completed, click Continue.

How do I know Ableworld has received my order?

When your order has been received by ableworld.co.uk we will send you an e-mail confirming your order and quoting an order number.

Can I cancel my order?

If you wish to cancel your order you should phone the head office number (01270 627185) as soon as possible. Because of the efficiency of our order despatch system your order may already have left our store. If this is the case, wait until your order has been delivered before returning unwanted items.

Why do you use registration?

Ableworld has a registration process which you voluntarily sign up to, in order to buy goods on-line and to allow you to register as VAT exempt. During the registration process we ask for your name, address, telephone number, email address and your VAT status. Also to make sure that nobody else can access your account using your name or identity, we ask that you create a username (this can be your email address) with a password.

What happens if my order can't be completely fulfilled?

If an order is not fulfilled within a period of five days, we will contact you by e-mail and/or telephone, setting out the reasons why the order cannot be fulfilled and if applicable, the revised date upon which it is expected that the order can be fulfilled. You can then instruct us to either despatch a part order or delay despatch until he whole order can be fulfilled.

Does Ableworld ever share information with other parties?

Ableworld does not and will not share your personal information with any outside parties.

How secure is ableworld.co.uk?

All online transaction on this website are handled by PayPoint, who, working with some of the best known high street banks, provide Ableworld with secure online card transaction processing facilities. For more information about PayPoint, visit their website at www.paypoint.net.

Ableworld has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. For maximum security we use a secure server that encrypts all your ordering information including your name and address. This information is not accessible to the Internet. Transactional information provided for Credit Card payments is not kept by ableworld.co.uk

This page states the terms and conditions under which you may use our Site. The Site is owned and operated by Ableworld (UK) Limited, a company registered in England with company registration number 4048285 ("Ableworld") Please read these terms and conditions carefully. Your use of this Site constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. If you do not accept the terms and conditions, then you may not use the Site. Ableworld may revise these terms and conditions at any time by updating this posting. Any changes in these terms and conditions will be effective immediately when they are posted on the Site. We reserve the right at our discretion to change, modify, add or remove portions of these terms and conditions at any time. In particular, while Ableworld makes every effort to ensure that the colour options available on the Site are representative, due to colour restraints on the web, these colours may vary depending on the browser, hardware platform and resolution of your monitor.

If you violate any of these Terms, your permission to use the Material automatically terminates and you agree to destroy immediately any copies you have made of the Material.

ABLEWORLD'S LIABILITY
The following provisions set out Ableworld's entire liability (including any liability for the acts and omissions of its employees, agents or sub-contractors) to you in respect of (I) any breach of the contractual obligations arising under this Agreement and (ii) any representations, statements or tortuous act or omission (including negligence) arising under or in connection with this Agreement ("Event of Default"). This Agreement does not prejudice the Statutory Rights which you may enjoy if you are dealing as a consumer within the meaning of English Law.

Ableworld shall have no liability to you in respect of any Event of Default unless you shall have served notice of the same upon Ableworld as soon as reasonably practicable after the date on which you became aware of the circumstances giving rise to an Event of Default or the date when you ought reasonably to have become so aware. Ableworld shall have 30 days from the date of such notice in which to remedy an Event of Default hereunder.

Ableworld shall not be liable, and shall not otherwise be deemed to be in breach of this Agreement, for any failure to perform (or delay in performing) any of its obligations hereunder caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Ableworld does not warrant that the Site will operate error-free or that the Site and its servers are free of computer viruses and other harmful elements. If your use of the Site or the Material results in the need for servicing or replacing equipment or data, Ableworld is not responsible for those costs.

The Site and Material are provided on an "as is" basis without any warranties of any kind. Ableworld and its suppliers, to the fullest extent permitted by law, disclaim all conditions and warranties expressed or implied, including any terms as to merchantability of the Material by you will not infringe third party rights.

DISCLAIMER OF CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
In no event shall Ableworld, its suppliers, or any third parties mentioned on the Site be liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, incidental, special and consequential damages, lost profits, lost goodwill or damages resulting from lost data or business interruption) resulting from the use or inability to use the Site or arising from the use, repair, service or maintenance of any equipment, whether based on statute, contract, tort, or any other legal cause, and whether or not Ableworld is advised of the possibility of such damages.

To be available for delivery and to take delivery of any products ordered by you from the Site.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Each product is sold subject to its individual product description that may set out additional specific terms and conditions related to that product, including without limitation terms and conditions concerning estimated delivery time. Ableworld does not accept any responsibility for inaccurate content and/or safety instructions, which are included on any products supplied. Please note products may vary from the picture illustrated depending on availability. 

PLACING YOUR ORDER WITH ABLEWORLD
Any order made by you shall be deemed to constitute an offer to purchase. No contract shall exist between you and Ableworld for the sale by it to you of any product unless and until Ableworld accepts your order by email. That acceptance shall be deemed complete and shall be deemed to be effectively communicated to you at the time Ableworld sends the email to you (whether or not you receive that email). Any such contract will be deemed to have been concluded in England and will be interpreted, construed and enforced in accordance with English Law.

While every effort is made to ensure the availability of products and to fulfil all orders, Ableworld cannot guarantee the availability of any product displayed on the Site. Ableworld reserves the right to discontinue the sale of any goods or services listed on the Site at any time without notice. Promotional offers at Ableworld's retail outlets may not always be available on the Site and promotional offers listed on the Site may not always be available at Ableworld's retail outlets. Ableworld cannot confirm the price or availability of a product until your order is received. Our goal is to maintain a completely accurate Site. In the event that price or other errors are discovered, we will promptly correct them and the amended provision will apply. Ableworld reserves the right to change or amend prices or promotional offers at any time without notice.

PRICES AND PAYMENT
Prices are displayed in £ sterling and are valid in the UK only. Prices are inclusive of VAT at the current rate unless you are a VAT exempt customer of Ableworld. Prices do not include delivery charges. These will be notified to you and applied after you place your order. Any orders in excess of £50 shall not incur a delivery charge. Promotional prices (where the previous price is struck through) indicate that these prices were listed at the original price for at least six months prior to this reduction.

Ableworld accepts payment by cheque, postal order VISA, MASTERCARD, SWITCH and most other credit/debit cards. We DO NOT accept payment in Euros. Ableworld uses NATWEST Streamline to securely transmit your credit card information. Ableworld does not store customer Credit Card Information on our servers.

If paying by direct debit, please note that Ableworld UK Ltd has appointed the BACS Approved Direct Debit Bureau, Eazy Collect Services Limited (www.eazycollect.co.uk), to collect your payments.  Ableworld UK Ltd will be shown on your bank statement for these direct debit payments.

Despite everyone's best efforts, you may rarely encounter a mispriced item at ableworld.co.uk. Therefore we verify prices as part of our shopping process.

If a products correct price is lower than the stated price, we will charge the lower amount and ship you the product

If a products correct price is higher than the stated price, we will contact you for instructions before shipping. If you decide not to purchase the product at the correct price, no charge will be incurred.

AVAILABILITY
We will make every effort to ensure that all orders are fulfilled. However, we cannot guarantee the availability of all products. In the event of a product not being available, a member of Ableworld staff will contact you.

DELIVERY
Ableworld will endeavour to have your product delivered within five working days from receipt of payment. For example an order placed on Monday and paid by credit card, would normally arrive by Thursday and an order placed on Friday would normally arrive on Wednesday. Orders will normally be dispatched at 5pm each working day. Our staff prior to dispatch physically checks all goods. We regret that at present we cannot deliver on Bank Holidays. We are unable to accept orders for delivery from outside mainland UK.

RETURNS
Ableworld understands that there are times when you will have to or want to return a purchase. We will happily refund or exchange your purchase in the following circumstances:

If you decide that the product is not for you.
If this is the case then the 'unwanted' product must be returned to Ableworld in its original condition with all packaging and accessories, within 14 days of the purchase. The product must be in the opinion of Ableworld re-saleable.
As there would be no fault with the product, then the cost of returning it would be your responsibility.

Replacement products will be charged (including delivery) until the returned product has been received in a re-saleable condition. If we agree to provide you with a refund we will arrange for a cheque to be sent or your credit card account to be credited within 30 days of the receipt of the returned product.

If the product is damaged or is faulty.
We will exchange the product as quickly as possible, or issue you with either a refund or a credit note.

If the product develops a fault whilst it is still within its warranty period.

Any disputes or questions relating to merchandise from linked sites or fulfilment or delivery thereof and its quality, suitability and fitness for purpose shall be directed to the vendors and you acknowledge that Ableworld and its affiliates, related or subsidiary companies shall have no responsibility, obligations or liability in relation to such merchandise.

Ableworld generally welcomes the hyper-linking to the Site from other appropriate web sites, provided that such links are to the Site's homepage (and no deeper within the Site) and provided that Ableworld gives its consent to the establishment of such links. Nothwithstanding the foregoing, Ableworld reserves the absolute right to refuse to consent to such links without giving reasons. Any links to the site from another web site must be presented in such a manner that the viewing of the Site is not impaired by framing or similar techniques that may impair the visitors user experience.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The aggregate liability of Ableworld to you for all claims arising from the use of the Site is limited to £150 sterling and you acknowledge that this is a genuine pre-estimate of any loss you might suffer as a result of such a claim.

INDEMNITY
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Ableworld (UK) Ltd, its officers, directors, employees and agents, from and against any claims actions or demands, including without limitation reasonable legal and accounting fees arising or resulting whether directly or indirectly from your use of the Site or Material (including Software) or your breach of the terms of the Agreement.

Ableworld shall provide notice to you promptly of any such claim, suit or proceeding and shall at its sole option, assist you at your expense in defending any such claim, suit or proceeding.

OUR PRIVACY POLICY
Ableworld respects your right to privacy. As part of the e-store facility, Ableworld will retain certain information including your name, address, phone numbers, e-mail address, IP address, billing address and shipping address and product selection.

This information will be retained in accordance with our obligations under the Data Protection Act 1988. Ableworld may use your personal data for the following purposes:

If there are any queries on your order or if there is a problem with fulfilling your order

To advise you of any promotional offers that may be of interest to you

To facilitate ease of use of use of the site by you so that you do not have to input all your details again should you re-visit the Site. For this purpose, our website uses "cookie" technology. You may de-activate cookies on your Internet browser although this may inhibit your ability to use all the features on the site.

Any disputes, claims or proceedings arising out of or in any way relating to the Site shall be governed by English Law. The English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction for the purpose of any proceedings arising out of or in any way relating to the site.

If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Agreement, which shall remain in full force and effect.

No waiver of any term of this Agreement shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term.

This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Ableworld with respect to the use of the Site.

Ableworld may at any time and without liability, modify, suspend or discontinue the Site or any Materials (or any part or specification thereof) with or without notice for any valid technical operational or commercial reasons.
